The Premise:
Alien Purgatory is a custom-built website and creative studio dedicated to producing and showcasing high-standard, fan-made content. It serves as the home for a growing universe of serialised stories, a database for fan films and a living portfolio for a team of passionate, multi-disciplinary creators.
The Story:
Our mission is to create the most immersive and rewarding fan experience on the planet. We believe that fan-made content, when executed with professional-level dedication, is a vital and celebrated part of any franchise. Alien Purgatory was built from the ground up to prove this thesis through three key pillars:
• Serialised Stories: We are the home of original, novel-length stories like Alien: Euphoria, released in a continuous, weekly format.
• Immersive World-Building: We feature in-universe platforms like ‘The Harmony Press,’ our own fan site aimed to coexist with our stories within our new Euphoria Verse. We welcome all content creators to connect their own fan sites with their productions featured on AlienPurgatory.
• A Showcase of Skill: The platform itself is a living portfolio, demonstrating elite-level UX design, project management and a scalable production model for an entire slate of creative projects.
Five Facts:
1. Built by a Core Team: The platform was conceived and built from the ground up by a core team of passionate creators: a UX designer, a full stack developer and a brand designer.
2. A Multi-Year Plan: To demonstrate the capabilities of AlienPurgatory, our own content is mapped out in a 52-week ‘Year One’ publishing schedule, with plans for a multi-year narrative saga. Our publishing schedule, as so your own, can be on full display on AlienPurgatory.
3. More Than One Universe: While we have launched with The Alien: Euphoria Universe, “The Euphoria Verse,” Alien Purgatory is designed to host multiple original and fan-made universes, including The Penumbra Verse, coming soon exclusively to members of our team’s Patreon.
4. Interactive Storytelling: The platform is designed for community engagement, with projects like ‘Join The Syncore’ allowing fans to contribute directly to our Alien: Incision story.
5. A Talent Incubator: A core goal of the project is to act as a ‘skill pool’, a platform to discover and cultivate talented fan creators for potential roles in official productions.
